This quote from Darryl Young in tomorrow's Telegraph Journal

“We see him as a player who is going to score goals for us,” Saint John general manager Darrell Young said of Siska. “We need goals. One of the things we wanted to accomplish in the off-season was to increase the offensive ability of our team, and he’s one player who can provide some offence for us. He’s one of the guys we expect to contribute (offensively).”

Siska was a point-per-game player in his last full season, tallying 12 goals and 27 points in 27 games for the HC Nitra under-20 team in 2012-13. That season also saw him play for his national junior team and under-18 teams, along with a stint in his country’s pro ranks.

“He’s accustomed to a high level of competition,” Young said. “He’s accustomed to playing at the pro level, he’s accustomed to playing on the world stage. That experience is going to help our younger players.

“When you play as a 16-year-old in the Slovak pro league, that tells you the calibre of player he is. He’s big, he’s strong (at) about six-two and 210 (pounds). He’s strong on the puck, strong on the walls and he’s a player who’s going to get better and better as the days go on. For a guy who didn’t play for a year and a half, he’s playing remarkably well for us.”

Siska has also impressed off the ice. His commitment to conditioning is evident in his lean frame and his intensity in the weight room has opened many eyes.

“His work ethic is a good example for the younger guys,” Young said. “His character has shone through in the fact that he worked so hard to get back. That’s also a good example for the young players.”

Finalement, quelle sera la décision des Sea dogs concernant leurs euros ? De ce que j'ai compris, ils ne peuvent pas échangé ni Siska, ni lee!
